New study

Its time for a new study again :( As iam required to stop with my current study due to bad results iam going to follow a new study this september :P . Instead of electronics what I currently do iam going to do techinsche informatica (Computer Engineering). Pretty close to eachother, only this new study luckily not that much math anymore, and a lot more programming. Only that programming is in java, so I need to learn that :(

Woo, finally some good news

Some probarly did know already that it wasnt going very well at school for me. The last few weeks I have been struggeling with what I should do next year. As of begin this week the chance that i was able to get this year passed at least (So I wasn’t required to stop) was pretty low due to some classes I failed.
But this morning I finally got some good news. Last week I already heart that I passed a english class (Whats the first time ever that I passed a english class in first case :P ), but this morning I received a mail that I passed my project as well.
This was pretty unexpected as the project wasn’t working actually. But probarly due to the time I did spent on it I got a 6 (Out of 10) for my project.
This means that I have 4 extra, unecpected ECTS points, whats means that iam a bit more near the required 45. Around 20 to go still badly enough :( So the next 8 weeks still busy++ to get it done :D

Working with a PIC microcontroller

As some of you probarly know iam currently doing a bachelor of electronics.

One of my current projects iam working on at school is developing a wireless connection from the schools roof to the techopark (3 floors lower).
The goal is to send 4 analog signals to the technopark. For this we made a design of a PCB that uses a FM radio signal at 433MHz to transmit all this data.
Sounds easy, isnt it?
No, it isnt. Firstly we had the basic problem to design the PCB. This wasnt that difficult at all. Just a few zener diode’s and it works (Probarly?)

After this we needed to choose what PIC we wanted to use and what pre made receiver and transmittor. This took some time but we found good things.

The problem we are currently having is to actually program our PIC. Hopefully the just ordered programmer arrives pretty soon so we can finish this project on time :(

Marathon of Rotterdam

Besides using my computer I sometimes (Yes, sometimes :P ) I do other things as well. One of this times was yesterday. The marathon of Rotterdam was held again this Sunday so I decided to visit its again for some hours. Besides that it was a really nice weather it was also a good thing to see all those people running for themself and making there personal goal.

holiday plans

Yes, its finally holiday (And a long time ago I didnt write anything real here), and I hope I finally have some free time to do some stuff I planned for some time already.
Since last April iam already busy with the new style for “Het Gamehuis”, what is custom made for us. The only thing we needed to do was making from a sliced PSD a real phpBB3 style. Iam currently (Actually since April) busy with this, and its getting nice :) .
But it still need to be finished, so this is something I really want to do this holiday completely :P .

Besides that I will try to find llook into Debian Lenny (Whats hopefully soon to be released) with Xen.  This will be used later possible for some new things hosthuis might going to use. This is already on my todo list for some time, and hopefully I will be able to do this now.
It at least need to be done before around May :P .
Hopefully my old PIII will be good enough to do my tests on :P

After that I also need some school stuff, like learning for a test again. The first monday after my holidays I need to  my math test again, as I failed for my first try. So I need to learn pretty much for that :( .

So I at least have enough things to do :P .
