while watching the things for queensday in appeldoorn at TV a serious accident happened.
A car drove into the public watching the queen, which was in a Bus watching the public.
The car nearly hit the bus, but due heavy damage it missed the bus and hit a historic monument.
Iam really not understanding why people do things like this…
Yes, thats never a good start of your day .
This morning I waked up (I needed to wake up early as I had a appointment at school), and saw a bunch of mails from nagios. Mostly its nothing important, but in this case it said apache was down.
Why isnt it automatic restarted by direct admin, or later on by nagios itself? WTF.
Now the complete server was down from like 1.00 till around 8.00. Not a good start of your day…
Another day, and another day with programming my PIC. Posted some more pictures at flickr of the PICs, both are now wired up nearly. Tomorrow hopefully testing the complete thing, and hoping it works
Last week I wrote already about a schoolproject iam currently busy with. withing this project the goal is to make a wireless connection into school.
This afternoon I finally got my programmer from the UK, and now iam able to program the used microcontroller. Some pics of this can be found here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/paulsohier/sets/72157616592620524/
Hopefully I get tomorrow the first real results with the wireless connection
Blogging from your iPod really sucks. I wrote this afternoon a large post, nut now it lost becuase i had no wifi at tje metro…
As some of you probarly know iam currently doing a bachelor of electronics.
One of my current projects iam working on at school is developing a wireless connection from the schools roof to the techopark (3 floors lower).
The goal is to send 4 analog signals to the technopark. For this we made a design of a PCB that uses a FM radio signal at 433MHz to transmit all this data.
Sounds easy, isnt it?
No, it isnt. Firstly we had the basic problem to design the PCB. This wasnt that difficult at all. Just a few zener diode’s and it works (Probarly?)
After this we needed to choose what PIC we wanted to use and what pre made receiver and transmittor. This took some time but we found good things.
The problem we are currently having is to actually program our PIC. Hopefully the just ordered programmer arrives pretty soon so we can finish this project on time
Besides using my computer I sometimes (Yes, sometimes ) I do other things as well. One of this times was yesterday. The marathon of Rotterdam was held again this Sunday so I decided to visit its again for some hours. Besides that it was a really nice weather it was also a good thing to see all those people running for themself and making there personal goal.
As of this, I added a new widget to the sidebar with (Currently only from the marathon), with some pictures. You can also look here.
It was some time again for a new layout again, so I looked around and added a new one, based on the layout of google chrome.
